Introducing the new Jabber Guest APIs
Cisco Jabber Guest enables any organization to connect with remote visitors (guests) through their website or iOS mobile application using instant-on, real-time voice and video. Guests can watch videos about products and talk with subject-matter experts. They can ask questions and get them answered in real time. And do so from the device they prefer - tablet, computer, or iOS smart phone. As a developer, you can integrate the Jabber Guest experience within a browser-based or iOS app. In this session you'll see how simple, straightforward, and welcoming the integration can be … for both the developer / organization implementing Jabber Guest, and for the guests themselves.

Email and Information Overload
As developers, we are asked to absorb even more information than ever before. More APIs, more documentation, more patterns, more layers of abstraction. Now Twitter and Facebook compete with Email and Texts for our attention, keeping us up-to-date on our friends dietary details and movie attendance second-by-second. Does all this information take a toll on your psyche or sharpen the saw? Is it a matter of finding the right tools and filters to capture what you need, or do you just need to unplug? Is ZEB (zero email bounce) a myth or are there substantive techniques for prioritizing your live as a developer? Join Scott Hanselman as we explore this topic with the help of great minds in this space like Stephen Covey and David Allen.

OpenStack Neutron Overview
OpenStack is a highly configurable cloud management system to meet different needs with various compute, networking, and storage options. It has been designed in a modular pattern, allowing heterogenous technologies from various providers to be used in a single cloud.
Neutron is the networking component of OpenStack: a framework that provides "networking as a service" between virtual machines in the cloud and the outside world, as well as advanced networking services such as firewalls and load balancers.
In this session we will provide an overview of Neutron, the features it provides, and how vendor-specific code can be used to orchestrate your network devices and virtual infrastructure to provide that set of features while abstracting the details away from the cloud tenant.

Storage Visibility and Optimisation for OpenStack
Since Networking is the glue that connects apps with infrastructure, it is critical to have network visibility. For example, operators would like to know whether the overlay or the underlay is at fault, among other things or where are the hotspots? As a first step, we explore how we can obtain the best network visibility and the challenges that lie in front, going forward. In order to solve the problems, we present strategies to 1) extract data from underlay (SDN controller) and the overlay (Neutron) system 2) show data mining and machine learning techniques to extract insights 3) interesting applications of the insights. We introduce the concept of network distances, a simple abstraction to expose the network metrics between any two entities of a network service. In particular we show how we can implement network distance within a SDN controller like Opendaylight.

Firing up Business Applications through Collaboration APIs (featuring Bulpro)
Business Process Applications drive customer´s business, e.g. SAP, with Enterprise Content Management, e.g. Microsoft SharePoint employees collaborate asynchronously. On Social Software coworkers exchange in a more informal manner. To increase efficiency the key ask of the market is to reach the fusion of Business Applications and synchronous Collaboration . This to increase efficiency and productivity within each organization. In this session you will get to know how this will be done by Cisco Collaboration, integrated with a unique, seamless user experience. Examples during the presentation: SAP, IBM Connections, MS Sharepoint. You will experience both use Cases and the architecture behind the concept. You will get to know how you can integrate on a standard interfaces and/or APIs on both sides, the Cisco Collaboration and the business application one. We will explain how you will be enabled to implement with ease, based on standard routines.

Self-Service for Complex IT Infrastructure
Your IT team has been mandated to become more agile, more automated and DevOps friendly, so you know you need to evolve your infrastructure towards self-service IT. But your infrastructure isn’t just VMs and public cloud—its networking, non-virtualized servers and storage, even legacy systems. Not only that, you’ve got multiple groups from developers, testers, security, and compliance to bring into collaboration. On top of everything else, you need to rebuild the IT airplane while still flying, meaning that your staff needs to renew skills, rethink processes and retool without losing continuity. How on earth can this happen? Join Quali and WWT for an enlightening session on creating self-service for complex IT infrastructure. Find out how to make diverse IT infrastructure environments easy to use, inclusive for all your stakeholders, and with the right level of governance so that IT is stepping on the accelerator and keeping hold of the steering wheel at the same time. Finally, find out how this can happen with your existing team and evolve people and process to a more agile way of doing IT business.

As the talk progresses we will describe some of the high level architecture that Cisco is developing using the OpenDaylight framework in conjunction with a publish/subscribe approach. The presentation will continue with how we could use this technology to drive a completely new set of applications and how OpenDaylight can provide many of the subsystems to enable this. To conclude the session we will look at a working example of how Cisco is combining ODL and pub/sub, which is an application called I2SS.
